Startup successes linked to good networking
Connections across companies are integral to determining start-ups success
Research on startups shows that success is linked to how well connections within the network of companies and employees are. By analyzing data and modeling a network of links across companies and flow of employees, Dr. Moreno Bonaventura of Queen Mary University of London and his team were able to recognize a pattern using CrunchBase’s extensive startup information. Startups who were able to establish early connections across their respective networks proved to have longer economic success. Attributed to the flow of knowledge across companies. These networks of connections of similar businesses help startups do better as the problems of newness can be combatted through the diversity of experiences. These findings can be used by venture capitalists as well as startups themselves in order to predict and create success.
